A bit of hard work this week to find some interesting things but in the end we found a few gems.

 

A Ronald Stennett Willson designed vase for the Lemington Glass Works, a Hans Agne Jakobsson Teak Frame Wall Mirror, a pair of Nils Olsson Horses, a Mathmos Astro Baby Lava in Lime Green & Clear, some Hornsea Midas pattern and a few other fun things.

Had a good weekend out and about finding vintage items.

 

A Dansk Design Teak Tray / Trivet, San Marino Lava Glaze Jug, a Tangerine Orange Dailene Party Set, a Walther Glass Solifeur Bud Vase, an Anglepoise Lamp and a few other gems.

This Weekends Finds

Being out & about the weekend we picked up a few bits.

 

A 1960's armchair with original fabric, a boomerang coffee table, a personal pespex cocktail shaker, space invader game and a couple of other little bits.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Multi Fuel Fire is in.

The multifuel fire has been in for a week now and has been used every day.

I picked up a copy of the Daily Mail IDEAL HOME BOOK 1953 - 54 the other day and would you believe it it's in there.

My thoughts of it being a late 60s early 70s design have gone out of the window.

It was design for the Commonwealth House, but I've not been able to find any information about that house but will continue to look.

I finally now hove the 3 volumes of this book and it's one of the best reference books for British Mid 20th Century Furniture Design.

They feature furniture, lighting and home wares from the designers / manufactures from 1955 to 1970

1960's / 70s Space Age Multi Fuel Fire

I found this great original 1960's / 70's multi fuel fire on eBay quite a few months eBay ago and tomorrow they start to fit it.


The installer hasn't ever come across this design but I found found one in the book House & Garden Book of Country Cottages which was published in 1963.



I'll be posting pictures of the installation once it's finished.
